1. When a Demanding Tech Routine Met Evening Disruption
For over a decade, my standard work rhythm has revolved around deep-focus technical development tasks. A typical day routinely involved monitoring continuous server logs, setting up custom navigation tags, executing deployment scripts, and maintaining complex database synchronization routines. Sitting in a desk chair for six to ten hours straight was standard operating procedure.
While that focus was great for writing clean code, my body eventually registered the sedentary toll. What started as an occasional urge to stretch evolved into periodic physical restlessness. More noticeably, my evening hours—and eventually my sleeping hours—became increasingly interrupted by sudden bathroom trips.
Waking up two or three times a night gradually transformed into a systematic drain on my energy. The sleep fragmentation led directly to next-day mental fatigue and brain fog during afternoon code reviews, sparking my search for better workplace habits and nutritional prostate support.
